Kafaldanda Drinking water project
Village: Keware, Kafaldanda
District: Syangja
Vertical head to lift water: 220 meter
Quantity of water to lift: 5000 liters per day
Installed Solar PV Size: 1.36 kWp
The project was implemented in collaboration with AEPC, user group and Lotus Energy. AEPC provided 75% subsidy to the system and remaining 25%
of the system cost was borne by the user group. It is a double stage solar PV pumping scheme. The system is providing clean drinking water to 45
households with population of 300. Before implementation of this project the villagers had to walk more than one hour to bring a bucket of water.
But now they receive water near their house so it has made their life much easier. The project has direct impact on reduction of women’s work burden by
facilitating pumped water up t o the village.
